Our Services

  • We provide the full range of architectural services from conception to handover. We will work with you through the project definition and concept design phases to refine your brief and requirements. We will then work through the design development and construction documentation phases for the chosen scope. Through the tender phase, we will lead the tender request and review process. During the construction phase, we will provide construction administration or support services to make sure that the design intent is achieved.

  • We have established experience as lead consultants on projects. We will work with you to establish the consultant team, and provide consultant management and coordination services. We have coordinated tradespeople and contractors through on-site investigations and early work works packages to gain a better understanding of the project and manage tight programmes.

We are experienced in managing specialist heritage tradespeople working on brickwork, traditional plaster, pressed metal, timber joinery and flooring, leadlight and stained glass, and traditional metal roofing. As well as specialist heritage consultants, such as paint colour specialists, historians, heritage arborists, and heritage landscape architects.

  • We understand the value of reusing existing buildings, including heritage-listed buildings, and the role this plays in reducing carbon emissions. Reusing buildings can be complex and challenging, but this is where we thrive. We have a wealth of experience across many different project scales, typologies, construction methods, and states of deterioration.

Alongside our full architectural services, we offer the following specialist services: condition assessments, recommendations on remedial works, opening up works and investigations, measured drawings, archival records, guidance on paint removal and treating efflorescence, managing the heritage approval process (at local and state-heritage levels), managing heritage approval conditions on site, and documenting the conservation or remediation works.

  • Through our experience on existing and heritage-listed projects, we have refined our skills in providing construction support and administration services. With most of these projects starting on site from day one, we have developed a collaborative approach through all project phases, leaning on the expertise of contractors and specialist tradespeople to assist us in deciphering the building condition and establishing the best approach. Through these strong working relationships, we are able to navigate latent conditions and provide alternate design solutions efficiently.

Our experience on site through all project phases has given us a depth of skill and understanding, allowing us to effectively provide construction support and administration services on all projects.

Focus Areas

We have a breadth of experience across project scales and typologies. This is further supported through our work on existing and heritage-listed projects, where most projects involve a new typology that we have not worked on before. Through this experience, we have learnt to adapt quickly and expand our knowledge base to take on any project, from horse stables and new hospitals, to campus signage strategies.

Public & Cultural

We are interested in expanding the public and cultural fabric of our cities. We work closely with communities and organisations to create vibrant and enduring places for people, from museums, galleries, and community centres to ballet schools.

Residential & Small Projects

We apply the same rigour and care to all projects, including residential and small projects. We work closely with our clients to design spaces that support daily life and provide moments of delight. We are interested in every part of the process, from working with artisans and craftspeople to create bespoke joinery, to exploring new ways of reusing existing materials. Whether it is repairs to a chimney or balustrade, or a temporary bar installation, no project is too small.

Institutions & Education

Working with universities, schools, local councils, and government organisations, we are focused on creating engaging places for working, learning, and connecting. We enjoy the complexity of these projects, weaving together multiple areas of expertise.

Adaptive Reuse & Conservation

Working with existing and heritage-listed buildings can be complex and daunting, but this is where our expertise lies. We enjoy uncovering the deep and varied history behind each project and deciphering the layers of building fabric, to achieve the best outcome for the users and the building. We are experienced in undertaking remedial and conservation work, interventions to allow for new uses, and designing new additions adjacent or attached to existing buildings.

We might have focus areas, but we would love to hear about any project you have in mind.
